Coming in second place was the photo of Omaha, Neb., Local 763 member Rick Baxter repairing lines following a 2007 ice storm. That close-up image was snapped by fellow Local 763 member Edward Schutt, and drew 649 votes.

The third place winner is an image of St. Louis

ice-covered landscape, which was taken by fellow Local 2 member Danny Orbin.
The photo drew 633 votes.

White trucks with multiple buckets show members working on transmission lines in Blair, Neb., in this honorable mention photo taken by Omaha, Neb., Local 763.

Rounding out the top five is Allentown, Pa., Local 375 member Karl Buesgen Jr.’s image of members installing rows of conduit at a casino project in Bethlehem, Pa.

Look for the photos in the winter issue of the IBEW Journal, coming out in mid-February.

This photo contest never fails to impress us about the depth of talent – and dedication to their work in the most difficult of conditions – of members across the Brotherhood. Thanks to everyone who shared their photographs with us, and all who voted. Stay tuned for news of the next contest.
