ERTS has
been up and running since 2003, and by now you should be
registered.
Members should be registered
on ERTS prior to leaving their home jurisdiction to seek
employment in a neighboring jurisdiction.
Home local unions and participating
local unions are expected to assist members with registration
onto ERTS on an as needed basis.
Local unions have the responsibility
to confirm that individuals have selected home funds for
reciprocity of benefits.
All members are reminded
to select both defined benefit and defined contribution
funds, as well as a health and welfare fund, to insure
that all benefits are properly reciprocated to their home
funds. For members currently registered, you must log on
to ERTS to check your fund choices and ensure you have
selected all of your available optionsa health fund, and
also a defined benefit and a defined contribution pension
fund.
If a member has misplaced
or lost their password, they are requested to contact their
local union and/or fund office, to request reissued passwords
and user IDs. The local union or fund office will forward
your request to the reciprocal administrator.
