A Local Hero
L.U. 34 (em,i,rts&spa), PEORIA, ILThis past winter, Bro. Clarence K. Garner "CK" was driving to work in icy road conditions and saw a glass company truck tipped over on its side. CK got out to help, and found a man pinned under the truck and called for help on his cell phone. He then quickly took the ladder racks off the top of the truck and used them to pry up the truck enough to pull the driver out from underneath. He then used his winter clothes to keep the driver warm.

After help arrived, CK left to go to work. After work he visited the drivers family at the hospital. The driver suffered life-threatening injuries; however, because of Bro. Garners quick action, his life was saved.
