AT&T Negotiations Update #5November 16, 2005 The IBEW and CWA resumed negotiations today with AT&T. AT&T notified the unions of the prorated payout of the AT&T Performance award (APA). The pay out will reflect 183% based on AT&T’s year-to-date and projected year-end performance. The amount of the performance award for represented occupational employees, (our union represented members), is expected to be $1098. The bonus will be prorated for the number of days in the year, up to the date of the merger close. The APA payments shall be payable by separate check in January 2006. AT&T presented the unions with a proposal to continue the AT&T Option Program (ATTOP), and the union presented to the company, a counter to our original proposal to establish a neutrality agreement and card check recognition. Negotiations on local IBEW/CWA issues will continue Thursday and Friday of this week. Tomorrow’s agenda includes tech issues; where it is expected that the company will be proposing a certification program.
