AT&T Negotiations Update #4

November 14, 2005

The parties resumed negotiations today in Washington, DC. Discussions began with the company explaining the new SBC/ AT&T senior leadership structure as announced November 10.

Several issues were discussed, such as ATS and Family Care, but the main issues for the unions remain the same; job security, health care and pension for active and retirees. Bargaining will resume tomorrow morning.

On Friday afternoons agenda, the company will be discussing the new company based on the outcome of the Calif. vote, which is the last state to ratify the SBC takeover of AT&T. It is expected that Monday, November 21st, your bargaining team will be negotiating a new agreement with a new AT&T. We have no idea what the impact will be on negotiations.
