Improved Work Situation
L.U. 558 (catv,em,i,mt,o,rtb, rts, spa z&u), SHEFFIELD, ALWork in our area is finally springing to life. When the recovery of Unit 1 at Browns Ferry Nuclear Power Plant was announced, a sigh of relief was heard from our craftspeople. Most of our area crafts should have a chance to work near home for the next five years or so. This work is in addition to the crafts still needed to work the yearly Unit 2 and 3 outages.

Work continues to move ahead at the new Toyota Plant in Huntsville, AL. The next job phase should being in late fall. It was a long, hot summer for our members working on this job. They are definitely glad to see some cooler weather. Hang in there, fellows!

Thanks to Bros. Gene Tackett and Rick Wilson for their hard work in planning the Annual Labor Day Rally. Rick is also involved in the new "Buy American Campaign." This organization has been founded to help people find American made products, and will offer a list of products and businesses that carry "Made in the USA" labels. Make sure you not only look for, but demand the American made products whenever possible. We can make a difference.

Happy Holidays! God bless you and your family.

Belinda Phillips, P.S.
