Workers Memorial Day (US) / National Day of Mourning (CAN)

Workers who have died on the job, both in the United States and Canada, will be remembered on April 28, 2006. Worker's Memorial Day and the National Day of Mourning give us the opportunity to honor victims of workplace injury and to renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace.

The number of on-the-job fatalities each year is staggering. Making our workplaces safer should be a top priority. I urge you to organize and/or participate with activities commemorating these events.
