AT&T Bargaining 2009

Bargaining Update 18 - July 2, 2009 - 10:57 AM Central Time

We have been meeting with the Company non-stop since the Saturday deadline in an effort to reach an agreement. Today, AT&T gave us a massive package proposal covering all of the articles and memos in our contract. Over the next couple of days, our Bargaining Teams will be thoroughly reviewing all of these proposals in their entirety. While there has been progress on certain issues, there are many items left unresolved including medical benefits and pensions which your surveys told us were the two most important issues to you.

Brothers and Sisters, this fight is not over. It was your unity and mobilization that got us this far, but, if we are to bring home the kind of contract we all deserve, AT&T must hear all of our voices loud and clear. Be safe this Fourth of July. Updates will resume early next week.
